It was presented during the 2014 Work Truck Show, where the vehicle was presented in flatbed configuration, with a back-of-the-cab crane. Now the success continues with new variants and an example of the box truck has been lately delivered to RH Peterson Co., a California-based company making fireplaces and outdoor grills.

Just to remind you, the Freightliner S2G is powered by an 8 l V8 engine converted with a CleanFUEL USA autogas system. The unit generates 339 HP of at 4100 RPM and 671 Nm (495 lb/ft) of torque at 3100 RPM. The truck's GVWR (gross vehicle weight rating) is 33 thousand pounds (14,85 tons) and the chassis comes with a three-year/50-thousand-mile (80-thousand-km) warranty, including emergency towing and roadside assistance.
