With the above in mind, PSI (Power Solutions International, Inc.) took the opportunity and presented two LPG-converted trucks at the NTEA Work Truck Show in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA. Both vehicles, of which one was a GM 4500 HD cutaway chassis, featured PSI's in-house developed autogas systems. After an agreement was signed in late 2016, PSI is General Motors' alternative fuel specialty vehicle modifier for fleet, commercial and retail truck markets.
After introducing these options last year, we are excited to be taking orders this year at NTEA. It is a great place to share the stage and support partners like GM and PERC, and offer customers the clean, high-performance alternatives they are looking for to meet their economic, compliance and sustainability goals.
John Miller, PSI’s Chief Executive Officer
PSI's portfolio currently includes the following models from the "General's" line-up: the Silverado and Sierra 2500/3500 HD pick-ups, Express/Savana passenger and cargo vans as well as cutaways and low cab forward 3500 and 4500 HD trucks. They all feature the same engine – the 6,0-litre GM LC8 unit with hardened valves and seats for improved longevity. All the conversion kits (Bi-Phase Gen II LP systems) are EPA- and CARB-certified.
