GasSuf 2016 - how was it?

On October 18-20, 2016, Moscow hosted the 14th International Exhibition of Natural Gas Vehicles and Refueling Equipment. This year 46 companies from 11 countries took part in the GasSuf. The exhibitors presented modern natural gas and LNG filling equipment and NGVs by leading Russian and foreign manufacturers.

Within three days over 1500 professionals from 66 regions of Russia and 22 foreign countries visited the exhibition. This year the share of visitors classified as prospective buyers came up to 72%, where 45% of those visiting the exhibition to find necessary products and services for their businesses were the corporate CEOs for procurement. The total area of the exhibition exceeded 2700 sq. m. Over 2400 visitors of Wasma exhibition which took place along with GasSuf had an opportunity to have a look at its exposition.

The exhibition opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Director of Department for Development Programs of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation Sergey Egorshev, and representatives of relevant agencies and industry associations. In his welcome address to GasSuf participants and guests Sergey Egorshev pointed out that such events are very appropriate and useful.

Some years ago the Russian government set the task to expand use of natural gas in all types of vehicles and reduce their negative impact upon environment. Every year the exhibition display gets larger, and every year there are new and innovative solutions for natural gas equipment and development of refueling infrastructure, as well as for waste reduction, including that from transportation activities.

The Ministry of Transport representative expressed his confidence that running such exhibitions would become another step to extension of the use of natural gas in all types of vehicles.

Traditionally, the stands of foreign and Russian companies showed integrated solutions for design and construction of CNG filling stations and serial vehicles and equipment for converting vehicles to natural gas, new models of gas vehicles by Russian manufacturers.

The RariTEK company presented its innovation – a mobile complex of separate process modules installed at a special semitrailer. Gaz Group for the first time demonstrated its new GAZel NEXT microbus with CNG/gasoline bi-fuel motor EvoTech 2,7 LPG. The Russian Cylinders company presented its Mobile Gas Storage System (MGSS MOBIGAS) for multimodal transportation of compressed gases overland, by sea and by air, as well as for reduction and optimisation of logistical costs.

Besides, the professionals could have a look at equipment presented by Lenpromavtomatika which showed installed gas filling column LPA-GZK for CNG filling stations; a GRF70/115-2B compressor and DNG42 dispenser by Graf; and a wide range of batch-produced machinery by Shelf: a compressor, filling column, LNG column, compressor control cabinet, priority board and others.

The Servisarm company showed its automobile gas filling compressor station АGNKS-900 with capacity of 900 ncm/h, gas dehydration skid UPIG -1000, and high-pressure gas filling fittings. Gas cylinders were presented by Balcity, Italgas, Russian Cylinders, Maxsus Metal Sanoat, micro filling stations and micro compressors - by Micrometan, and the VITKOVICE RUS and KPG Komplekt companies presented mobile gas refuelers.

Within the framework of the GasSuf business program the conference “Installation and Operation of CNG Equipment in the Russian Federation. Problem Issues and Solutions” and DIGITRONIC workshop were held.

The conference was organised by Gas Engine Manufacturers Union (SPGO). The attendees could get answers to topical questions of the gas engine industry related to entry into force of the Technical Regulation of the Customs Union On Safety of Wheeled Vehicles. They discussed issues of interaction of road users and public authorities, international experience with CNG equipment registration, modern safety requirements to CNG equipment and lots of others.

At the DIGITRONIC workshop organised by the Gazpart 95 the professionals were presented with innovation – an upgraded DIGITRONIC 3D-MAX block and accompanying GasPro software.

Both business events were held in the environment of experience sharing, and provided an opportunity to make new contacts for mutually beneficial cooperation.

Participating companies highly appreciated the GasSuf results. In the first days upon the exhibition closing the number of application for participation next year substanially increased.

The 15th Anniversary International Exhibition of Natural Gas Vehicles and Refueling Equipment GasSuf will be held on October 17-19, 2017 at Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Centre.
