AEB214 PLUS - new OBD tester

Compared to the previous model, the AEB214 UN, the AEB214 PLUS has a number of improvements. For instance, it has an impulse power supply unit which enables connection into CAN 24 V buses, common in heavy duty utility vehicles. Also, the scanner features a 16-bit controller for automotive use and its internal memory has been boosted to 128 kB to allow more language versions of the interface. Users can now choose from Italian, English, Spanish, German, French, Turkish and Czech. Toggling language versions is very simple and can be done throught the device's main menu.

The AEB214 PLUS features USB for direct connection into computer, thanks to which using external power supply isn't required. The tester's new wiring now features more compact connectors. Software has been updated and upgraded, too. The display now has adjustable brightness and contrast, plus an automatic blackout upon disconnecting the USB port to save energy.

The AEB214 PLUS tester also features a new menu for choosing the communication protocol. It complies with the following protocols used in OBD II on-board diagnostics systems:

• ISO15765-4 (CAN),
• ISO14230-4 (KWP2000),
• ISO9141-2,
• J1850 VPW,
• J1850 PWM.

Obviously enough, the tester enables reading and deleting error codes stored in the ECU as well as displays all the working parameters of the engine: RPM speed, temperature, load, etc.
