INGAS 2017 will be organized with the support of Turkish Ministries of Energy and Natural Resources, of Science, Industry, and Technology, of Environment and Urban Planning, of European Union, as well as the Energy Market Regulatory Authority and the Metropolitan Municipality of Istanbul, and will bring more than 250 local and foreign firms and 5000 guests together at the center dedicating a space of 10,000 square meters.
The international platform will provide a venue for the stakeholders from the wider sector meet, as well as the discussion of a multitude of issues from the geopolitics of natural gas and supply security to the management of risks and opportunities in the natural gas sector, from climate and environment to natural gas and man, production, storage, LNG, CNG, smart grids and cyber security, sustainable installations management, access to financial resources in the natural gas sector, natural gas business and new perspectives, new technologies, innovation, and R&D.
Important Strategies to Make Turkey a Natural Gas Hub will be on the Table
Having a strategic role given its proximity to major natural gas and oil reserves of the world, Turkey recently took great steps to meet energy needs of the region and to ensure sustainability, as a leading stakeholder in TANAP and TurkStream projects. INGAS 2017 will offer the opportunity to bring all dynamics shaping the sector together, on an international platform, with a view to reviewing recent projections concerning Turkey’s development into a hub of natural gas trade in the medium to long term.
The Convention to be held in parallel to the Trade Show will, in turn, set the scene for bilateral meetings, panels, and sessions chaired by experts. Furthermore, many foreign ministers will be contributing to opening addresses at INGAS 2017, where important strategies to make Turkey a natural gas hub will be discussed.
INGAS 2017 will be attended by the representatives of and senior level delegations from the governments of Algeria, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Belarus, Bosnia Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Djibouti, Ethiopia, France, Georgia, Germany, Ghana, Greece, India, Iran, Iraq, Italy, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia, Morocco, the Netherlands, Nigeria, Oman, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Sudan, Sweden, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States of America, and Uzbekistan, and will be monitored by international media. The event will make Istanbul the host for important trade deals and bilateral negotiations for two days.
