Europegas
As much as 75% of Europegas' production volume is exported. The firm supplies the global market with over 80 thousand ECU's and approximately 250 thousand other components used in automotive LPG systems.
The company is present in Asia, South America and Europe, it is also an authorised, exclusive distributor of Hana H2000 and H2100 injectors from Korea for Central and East Europe, as well as Russia. Europegas also has a sales representative in Athens, Greece.
The firm sells its products in India, South Korea, Australia, Russia, the RSA, Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Colombia, the US and Mexico, among others.
KME
KME, from the city of Lodz, supplies numerous European markets with its products. Among these are the UK, Germany and France in the West and Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Ukraine and Russia in the East. KME systems are exported southwards, too, to Czech and Greece, as well as further East – to Malaysia, Thailand and Australia. The company is also represented in North America – they supply their systems and components to Canada.
The main focus is on typical, standardised products, same as the ones offered in Poland – the firm's domestic market. However, there are customers who require specific presets in the ECU's software to suit particular needs.
Rybacki
This company became known as a manufacturer of mixers for 1st and 2nd generation systems. The demand in Poland is waning, but they remain vastly popular abroad (over 80% of Rybacki's output is exported). Mixers find their way chiefly to Eastern Europe (Russia and Ukraine), but there is also remarkable interest in other regions of Europe and in South America.
The worldwide success of Rybacki's mixers comes from their high quality, which is augmented by reasonable prices. Contradictory as it may seem, it is possible, which is thanks to the use of approved technology and reliable materials. Mixer bodies are made of plastic in the process of moulding and the aluminium burners have apertures instead of typically used holes. Both techniques make the end products cheaper (compared to all-aluminium mixers) and, as a consequence, more competitive.
STAKO
STAKO is a worldwide leader in LPG tanks production – the output for 2012 will exceed 500 thousand examples. The companies products are known and acclaimed in nearly 60 markets across the globe, which means that tanks are made to meet various local legal requirements and specifications. In recent years, most of STAKO's volume has been delivered to OEM customers, as brand new cars' factory equipment. Due to this, the firm's export sales by far exceeds domestic market sales. Tanks made in Slupsk can be found on a number of brand new, factory-converted LPG-powered cars, such as the Volkswagen Group's models or the Mercedes Sprinter LGT van.
STAKO has recently become a part of the American company Worthington Industries. The integration is set to aid the firm's export operations and grant them access to North American markets (Canada and the US) in terms of composite CNG tanks and LPG tanks sales. Worthington will benefit from the move, too, as before the acquisition of STAKO they had neither composite CNG tanks nor LPG tanks on offer.
Summary
Polish LPG components are sold in a number of markets, many of them quite exotic from a European point of view. Foreign customers compliment technological advancement and high quality of products made in Poland. At the same time, they praise their simplicity of use, which stems from the fact that many of the markets where Polish brands are present leave much to be desired in terms of technical culture.
